Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Analytical Scientist II to join our Testing Services Department at Pall in Westborough, MA.

You will work in a state of the art instrumentation laboratory to perform leachables and extractable testing using ICPMS, GCMS and LCMS. We are seeking a chemist with deep chemistry knowledge, technical report writing expertise and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities include:

Perform test work according to laboratory request requirements. Record raw data directly onto datasheets or into laboratory notebook. Communicate updates as needed to on test delays or deviations

Conduct sample analysis, data processing and troubleshooting of methods.

Adhere to applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, safety standards, GLP and regulatory guidelines.

Document all project work according to applicable SOPs, accurately record observations. Write and provide laboratory report to customers.

Perform method troubleshooting, laboratory investigations and data interpretation

Supporting activities

Understand how various laboratory systems (including purchasing, calibration, materials inventory) are maintained. Responsibility for maintenance of such a system may be assigned.

Assist with general laboratory maintenance
Assist with training of new staff as required

Attend training courses as required

Follow assigned work schedule and meet expected target dates

Attend customer audits as required

Maintain up to date knowledge of current regulatory issues and guidelines relating to the products being tested

Develop expertise by regular communication with other Pall groups

Support management in preparation for audits, including document review

Review and approve protocols and reports, if authorized

Publishing is encouraged


Job Requirements
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

PhD with analytical chemistry experience from graduate work

MS 3 years analytical testing experience

BS 5 years analytical chemistry testing experience

Hands on experience and proficiency with ICPMS, HPLC/UHPLC and LC-MS/MS

Additional Qualifications

Work safely and comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Adhere to general laboratory rules and maintain laboratory cleanliness

On occasion may need to start or finish work earlier or later depending on test requirements

Hold current passport as may need to travel to other Pall locations for training or assist with test work
