Team Description

The Quality Assurance team at Dropbox takes a unique approach to quality, ensuring that QA team members work not only as testers but also as leaders in establishing quality processes and empowering the entire engineering team to take ownership of the quality of the code they write. Our approach to Quality Assurance Engineering involves a small, highly hardworking and leveraged team that focuses on manual testing, end to end testing, test strategy, and process improvements, while working in an embedded manner with cross-functional engineering and product teams. We strive to be partners and leaders with development teams rather than gatekeepers or naysayers.

Role Description

• You will lead a team of 5–10 Quality Assurance Engineers, working closely with both them and cross-functional partners across Engineering and other disciplines to help ensure a high quality product.

• You will be responsible for growing and developing an incredible team of hardworking and motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership and impact
• You will foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values.
• You will ensure your team delivers extraordinary output, and continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact
• You will set direction for the team, anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning
• You will enable clear visibility into the quality efforts your teams are supporting
• You will help craft quality strategy

Requirements

• At least 5 years of management experience leading either Quality Assurance teams or Engineering teams with a strong focus on quality
• Experience as either a Quality Assurance Engineer or as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on quality
