Role Overview

This position will be an integral part of the Cedar Rapids-based General Accounting team in support of legacy-United Technologies Aerospace Systems’ businesses within Collins Aerospace, as well as, Pratt & Whitney. Tasks vary across the functions of general ledger, accounts payable, and intercompany. This role will provide exposure to organizations across Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Central Accounting Services organization at UTC Corporate, as well as, locally with auditors, Tax, Treasury, and other shared service accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Account analysis and reconciliation
• Intercompany billings preparation and execution
• Month-end accruals and reporting
• Journal entry calculation, execution, and documentation
• Escheated property filings
• 1099 reporting
• Compiles financial information to record transactions, prepares reports, and completes reviews to report accurate information.
• Prepares month end journal entries and assists in account reconciliation, projects, and internal and external audits.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and 3 years of relevant experience; in the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
