Field Service Engineer

We are looking for great talent, for future opportunities. This is an evergreen / pipeline position, to help us proactively identify potential candidates for future openings.

Field Service Engineer is responsible to maintain, install and repair Sciex products at both internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts. This position works independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues. Mentors and develops less experienced staff members.

Primary Responsibilities:

⦁ Completes and successfully pass assigned training tasks on assigned products and responsibilities
⦁ Working knowledge of Sciex and OEM products
⦁ Experienced in performing high quality installation, repair and maintenance on mass spec instruments
⦁ Assigned and responsible for customer satisfaction at strategic accounts
⦁ Performs IQ/OQ and other qualification products. Includes training.
⦁ Mentors and trains lesser experienced staff members
⦁ Performs preventive maintenance on select products
⦁ Demonstrates and completes all administration duties
⦁ Maintains own tool and parts inventory to ensure adequate supply

Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: ⦁ Associate’s degree (A.S./A.A.S) or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience⦁ Prior experience using and/or servicing mass spectrometry or scientific instruments.Additional Requirements: ⦁ Working knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving procedures⦁ Effective communication skills both written and verbal⦁ Works independently and as part of team⦁ Promotes commercialization of SCIEX products⦁ Working knowledge of electrical and electro- mechanical technology⦁ Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs⦁ Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at waist.⦁ Exposed to seasonal weather based on geographic region⦁ Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols⦁ Exposure to varied travel conditions either driving or flying⦁ Travel required/Valid Driver's License.⦁ Travel by vehicle or airplane within assigned geography, up to 50% overnight travel may be required.⦁ Meeting Vendor Credentialing requirements are an essential element of this position. ⦁ May participate on PSPs & Kaizens
