What you'll do:

  • Effectively lead a team of Account Managers who serve as the principal relationship manager for our freight customers, to service and grow wallet share.
  • Hire, lead, and mentor a small team of brokerage Account Managers to assist the team in exceeding revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Grow an existing book of a business grounded in lasting, long-term customer relationships that allows us to continually grow share of wallet.
  • Work closely with the talent acquisition team on execution.
  • Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the optimal course of action, and implementing best available solutions.
  • Work closely with AE’s to ensure a smooth transition of all new accounts landed.
  • Understanding freight details, shipper contacts, total opportunity size, and expectations for gain in wallet share over the life of the account.
  • Lead Account Manager would also be responsible for working closely with Account Executives to determine the best primary/secondary Account Manager for all new accounts landed based on shipper characteristics and Account Manager knowledge.
  • Manage and oversee communication between Account Management team and Pakistan load coverage team
  • Understands their teams entire book of business and is able to fill in when needed
  • Weekly 1:1’s with Account Managers to set goals and assess progress to report back to Sales Manager

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience operating in an account management role
  • 1 year of lead or management experience is preferred
  • Proven experience servicing existing customers and growing wallet share through proactive communication and service
  • Experience in on-boarding new customers to ensure their needs are met and our team is set up to service them according to their requirements
  • Ability to mentor, coach and advance the development of each of your employees, while upholding KeepTruckin's values.
  • Manage key customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Active listening skills with ability to build trust
  • Competitive mindset, always striving for success
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM and sales technologies for forecasting, pipeline management, and sales acceleration
