BIM Training Program Manager

Our BIM Training Program Manager will be on the Global Learning + Development (L&D) team, and report to the Learning Systems and Training Manager and partner closely with the Director of Architecture/Revit Lead to align training strategy and design content. L&D is a part of the Katerra Global Human Resources department. This role will serve as the Global Coordinator of our BIM Training programs worldwide. Katerra is partnered with outside vendors to deliver state of the art customized training to employees. Our BIM training covers a wide variety of levels and platforms. In addition to scheduling the delivery of technical training, this role would also take part in the design and development of future BIM training platforms, as well as coordinate the skills assessment platform designed to measure each employee’s working knowledge of Revit, both pre and post training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish a working relationship with KnowledgeSmart to implement a series of Pre and Post hire Revit Skills Assessments
  • Primary liaison between Katerra and BIM training vendor, responsible for scheduling training and managing the terms and conditions of our Contract
  • Develop strategies to analyze learner needs and assess the effectiveness and return on investment of learning.
  • Consult and collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to discern ideal learning modalities and develop learning solutions in a team-oriented environment.
  • Continue enhancement and customization of training curriculum in light of evolving business requirements, product and project BIM delivery methodologies and tool sets.
  • Work with 3 rd party Software companies and internal software development teams to build training curriculum to be integrated into BIM training program with the BIM training vendor.
  • Upgrade technical knowledge of BIM by seeking educational opportunities within the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholder groups and L+D team members on workflow processes and continuous delivery improvement.
  • Work with the Recruiting and IT teams to establish and maintain an AWS (Amazon WorkSpaces) connection for the administration of Pre-hire KnowledgeSmart assessments, to be given as part of the recruiting process.
  • Partner with the Katerra L&D Onboarding team to integrate BIM/Revit Training into the New Employee experience
  • Support additional external and internal vendor management for the L+D team
  • Manage the PR-PO process ownership for the L+D projects
  • Provide LMS administrative support as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional design and BIM technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing effective copy, instructional text, activity instructions, audio/video scripts, and technical simulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to impart technical and software/platform trainings.
  • Strong customer focus, attention to detail, and problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing projects, and prioritize in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and quickly changing environment.
  • Ability to meet timelines for projects with minimal follow-ups.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, learning, and experience of working in multicultural environments.
  • Flexibility in work hours required to serve a global audience.
  • A collaborative and positive attitude, with a growth mindset.
  • Experience with Revit, Navisworks and other BIM toolsets required.
