The Business Development Executive will build market position by locating, developing, and solidifying business relationships demonstrated by securing meetings with outsides account executives and company executives.

The primary role of the Business Development Executive is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, collaborating with Marketing or other means of generating interest from potential clients. He or she must plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the Lucernex. He or she must develop a rapport with new clients, and follow through with sales to ensure the successful capture of new clients and company revenue goals.

Sales will be focused on the retail, restaurant, financial and retail healthcare industries and will include Lucernex’s SaaS and Cloud software offering for IWMS and Lease Administration. The position will report to the Director Business Development.

This role will be working with our Lucernex product in the Commercial Real Estate, Education, Healthcare, Public, Retail, Telecom, and Utilities industry. Lucernex helps our customers manages sites and assets throughout the lifecycle. This includes: Market planning, site evaluation, project management, facility management, real estate leasing, equipment leasing, and rent accounting (full FASB and IASB).

This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Business Development and will be located in our Austin, Texas office. This position also has the opportunity to be remote.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Excellent communication ability with multiple roles within an organization from lease administrators to CEOs.
  • Aggressively participate in sales efforts as defined by the Vice President of Sales
  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Research and build relationships with new clients
  • Set up meetings between Lucernex sales and executive management and client decision makers, champions and influencers as directed by Vice President of Sales
  • Identify business opportunities and mapping appropriate solutions to client requirements
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure timely follow through of related marketing activity including lead development, research, and events
  • Record all sales activity in company approved sales tracking technology
  • Follow through with sales to ensure proper management of all business development activity through closing of business
  • Involvement in trade shows and conferences as needed
  • Articulate Lucernex value and capabilities to senior appropriate business leaders and decision makers

What you bring to the table:

  • Enterprise sales development experience
  • Experience selling complex solution to multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working independently
  • Experience in ERP/FM, CMMS, CAD, IWMS, Project Management or other major enterprise sales
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, Web-ex (or equivalent), Saleforce.com (or equivalent) and web technologies
  • Strong organization skills including consistent follow-up.
  • Great sense of urgency
  • Bachelor’s degree.
