The Assessment Services team is a unique department here at Accruent. They get the opportunity to travel to different work sites and assess a variety of different architectural buildings. The team members are highly collaborative to ensure our clients are prepared with detailed reports and analysis findings on their buildings. Under limited supervision (training will be provided) the Building Condition Consultant is responsible for performing visual inspections and equipment inventory of facilities and related building systems and preparing detailed reports and analysis on their findings for client personnel.

This position requires upwards of 40 to 50% travel – on a national and occasionally an international basis. The work performed in the field and at client sites requires the ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and to regularly climb ladders and stairs in order to assess the various building systems (including roofing systems).

This role will be working with multiple Accruent software products such as Vfa.facility, Kykloud, TMS, Verisae, etc. Accruent product lines include software applications that provide solutions for capital planning, facility and asset management.

This position reports directly to a Project Manager and will report to the Boston, MA Accruent office location. Ability to work from home for the right candidate.

How you’ll make a difference:

• Perform visual inspections of facilities and related building systems (electrical, mechanical and/or architectural) on a national and occasionally international basis. Inspections may include energy and or sustainability evaluations.
• Interact with client facilities management staff to ascertain necessary information.
• Review and utilize client documentation during inspection process (drawings, studies, maintenance logs, etc.).
• Develop cost estimates for facilities replacement costs and/or corrective measures.
• Document findings using VFA’s web‐based software, VFA facility and other software applications as necessary.
• Working in a team environment or independently.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• 2+ years working experience in the fields of asset management, equipment inventory, field operations, design and construction, and customer service.
• 2+ years working with laptops, cameras and mobile PC devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Web Browsers).
• Proficient in written and verbal communication and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• An eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or Architecture or Facility/Construction management degree.
• 3-5 years of facilities engineering, operations, design, construction and/or facilities management experience.
• Knowledge of building systems including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical systems and/or site utilities.
• Proven ability to evaluate facility/system replacement values, conduct lifecycle analysis, and identify deficiencies with corrective cost estimates.
• Prior experience in multi-site or campus settings is preferred.
• Current government security clearance.
• Professional registrations (P.E. or Registered Architects).
