Senior Financial Analyst - Technology

As a Senior Financial Analyst for Equifax, you will be responsible for leading finance support for a technology alliance, working closely with business leaders and their leadership teams. This includes assisting the leaders in the decision-making process, providing insightful and actionable financial analysis, applying standard methodologies and fresh perspectives to solve complex problems. Influence the actions and initiatives within the alliances they support to enable the function to achieve strategic and financial targets.

You will support the implementation and execution of driver-based forecasting. Help define and lead cost efficiency initiatives in partnership with business leaders. Partner with the technology leadership teams to deliver financial information in a concise and relevant manner, understanding customers’ perspectives and needs. Apply in-depth knowledge and experience for technology finance, maintains industry knowledge, and is able to influence technology teams towards a financial strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive value streaming planning, bottoms up budgeting and driver based forecasting activities, working with various countries and areas of the business, and ultimately responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the budget and forecast of the technology alliance, including delivery of report summaries and presentations.
  • Analyze Technology spending (operating expense and capital) trends, and prepare actionable reports and synopsis of the business results for reporting to the business and management.
  • Lead monthly financial forecasts discussions, including expenses, headcount, capital risk/opportunities and other metrics.
  • Understand technology, and technology strategy in order to develop business cases along with the business case sponsor and various business areas.
  • Assist in the implementation of new standardized reporting model (COGS, COS, Development, G&A, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with other FP&A team members in preparing monthly forecasts and the annual budget, finding opportunities to improve financial outlooks, and other financial analysis and projects.
  • Develops work plans for projects or initiatives of moderate to high complexity.
  • Provides direction, mentoring, and prioritization to others on the Tech Finance team.

What makes you a great fit for this role?

  • You've attained a Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • You have 5–7 years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience, including handling full P+L’s for technology teams of large organizations.
  • You have Technology Finance experience, including the preparation and presentation of complex business cases.
  • You're experienced in Cloud-based IT environments.
  • You have experience with visualization tools i.e. Tableau or Spotfire.
  • You're proficient in Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
  • You've worked with Aha! and similar planning tools.
  • You've made decisions guided by policies in judgmental situations that impact the achievement of objectives.
  • You have strong critical thinking skills, ability to adapt and prioritize multiple tasks, and multi-task given multiple business demands.
  • You're able to work as a member of a team and influence others.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders.

What will make you stand out?

  • MBA or Master’s level degree
  • Possess a financial designation (CPA preferred)
  • Experience using, Oracle Projects and/or OBI (Business Intelligence Objects)
