The Role At BuildingConnected, you will be responsible for making your product “fly-off the shelf” as you work with various stakeholders across the organization. This role requires an intimate understanding of the customer, our partners, and competitors so that marketing launches and tactics carry the most impact in product adoption, retention and brand loyalty. You'll learn to become an expert in your product, evangelizing it through marketing programs that focus on driving revenue and market-leadership in commercial preconstruction. Developing product positioning and ensuring that consistent messaging resonates with customers at all stages of the buyer and user journey will be the super glue between successful product marketing launches and empowered Sales and Customer Success teams. You'll also work closely with the product and analytics teams to develop actionable insights around feature adoption. Lastly, you will partner with the Demand Generation and Field Marketing teams to execute revenue-focused programs. Attention to detail and consistency are critical to your success, but so are flexibility and open-mindedness in a fast-paced environment. Above all, you should want to have fun learning!
Key Responsibilities
- Market intelligence: understand and document the personas behind the buyer and user journey. Be the expert on their motivators, detractors, influencers, and buying triggers.
- Understand the competitive landscape: be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: partner with Product Management and marketing communications team to develop a positioning framework to support content that resonates with our personas. Work with Field Marketing to identify events that contribute to pipeline growth.
- Manage campaign launches end-to-end and assess their impact on the business. Must be comfortable reporting back to the business leads with learnings and suggestions for improvements.
- Enable Sales: develop internal tools and external collateral for Sales, and teach them how and when to use it.
- Talk to customers! Participate in customer interviews, listen to demos, or have a meal with them at any of our hosted events.
Skills Required
- 2-3 years of marketing experience with at least 2 years of concentrated product marketing experience.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills with deep strength in strategic thinking and storytelling.
- Highly analytical with strong disposition towards data-driven decision-making. Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is or isn’t working.
- Experience acting as a liaison with product and sales organizations. Prior experience working with Customer Success teams is a plus.
- Proven experience leading, project managing, and executing large multi-faceted projects
- Familiar using CRM tools such as Salesforce, and marketing automation tools such as Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot and Omniture, and Google Analytics.
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
