The Global Ethics and Compliance Management team is responsible for developing and promulgating the standards pursuant to which The Walt Disney Company and, its affiliated entities do business, developing and implementing anti-corruption policies and procedures, export control compliance and training Company employees regarding the Standards of Business Conduct, anti-harassment and anti-corruption.
The Compliance Operations Manager will be responsible for driving multiple compliance initiatives, by implementing automating workflows and designing processes. She/he will identify, review and monitor compliance risks and matters, and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including compliance team members, members of the Legal, Audit, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting and business teams to drive implementation of programmatic enhancements to the Compliance Program.
Responsibilities :
A successful candidate is well-versed in best practices and business processes for ethics, anti-corruption and trade (export controls and sanctions). They are professionals of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. In this role, the Compliance Manager will:
  • Build a compliance analytics capability the uses data to support a more risk-focused and quality-driven approach to compliance and oversight and drives the development of innovative, analytically-powered Compliance solutions.
  • Ensure a cohesive and fully integrated approach to compliance monitoring by partnering closely with a range of other monitoring insight-generating and risk assurance functions, including Audit, Shared Services, ICOs, etc.
  • Coordinate with existing monitoring functions and local and regional compliance leads to inventory, understand, and influence the continued evolution of monitoring and data-generating activities.
  • Lead efforts to test and ultimately operationalize the use of analytics to drive the development of innovative, analytically-powered compliance solutions.
  • Provide strategic support to global initiatives that involve or impact compliance program, monitoring, and analytics activities (e.g., advising on new systems, policies and procedures, and data capture practices)
  • Help design and operations local monitoring solutions, often in response to risk assessment findings and observations.
  • Develop activity-specific monitoring toolkits that local colleagues can operationalize in a “fit-for-purpose” manner
  • Continue to build a compliance analytics capability that leverages data to identify patterns, trends and signals that elevate the Company’s compliance discourse and support a more risk-focused and quality-driven approach to compliance oversight.
  • Support the growth of a global community of practice that uses data and analytics to drive a continuous dialogue about compliance risk.

Basic Qualifications :
  • 7+ years of experience as a compliance professional with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the required elements of effective compliance programs
  • Exposure to international compliance matters, including ethics, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and trade sanctions matters
  • Significant experience working with and in compliance systems, such as third party due diligence and risk monitoring systems, legal research systems, systems used to monitor and track compliance with export and sanctions regulations, and learning management systems.
  • Outstanding analytic and organizational skills with an ability to identify and and interpret trends in data, present findings, and provide recommendations to executives
  • Detail oriented and well-verse in reporting and analytics tools to facilitate management-level reports or the development of dashboards and other monitoring toolkits.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to creatively solve business problems and prioritizing business needs
  • IT-savvy with significant experienced in formulating business requirements, reviewing functionalities and providing user acceptance feedback on IT projects that are compliance relevant.
  • Leverages internal systems and the ability to merge data from multiple sources, conduct appropriate analyses, and provide actional insights.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards, unquestionable integrity, discretion and professionalism;
  • Must be proficient in statistical analysis using tools such as Excel, Tableau, etc.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy; ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environment

Required Education :
  • Must have a four year degree, Bachelor’s Degree
