Job summary

The Red Hat Talent Acquisition (TA) team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us in one of our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) offices. In this role, you will operate under the Red Hat recruiting model, which consists of two, closely partnering teams - recruiters, who identify and attract the right talent, and advisors, who ensure the correct scoping of the roles and best methods of assessment and guide internal decision making. You’ll help us hire the right people for the right roles. You’ll need to have good business insight, as well as deep insight into the dynamics of decision making, collaboration, negotiation, and persuasive communication. You'll lead recruitment activities in close partnership with hiring managers and our People (HR) team specialists. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll need to be able to effectively translate metrics and objectives into actions that align with the overall business strategy. You’ll also need to have great communication skills to navigate an environment with quickly changing demands and a matrixed structure.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal consultant and advisor for hiring managers from the opening of a position requisition to candidate onboarding
  • Conduct a thorough needs analysis to deliver quality results
  • Work closely with a recruiting team to ensure that their sourcing and recruitment strategies align with hiring managers’ needs
  • Work with sourcers and recruiters to set challenging, but realistic timelines for connecting interested and qualified candidates with hiring managers
  • Manage communication and cooperation among individuals and groups, including conflict resolution, stress management, diversity awareness, and teamwork to promote overall success
  • Work with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR business partners to develop workforce and TA plans for each fiscal year and adjust them as needed
  • Design interview and evaluation processes for all types of roles in a systematic and collaborative manner, demonstrating thought leadership and innovation
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on recruiting markets, competitive trends, compensation, and other relevant areas and share your knowledge with the team
  • Deliver the best candidate experience by developing a sell strategy and techniques that attract top-tier talent
  • Successfully reach candidate offer acceptance using a combination of negotiation skills, value selling strategies, and anticipation of objections

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree; master's degree is a plus
  • Several years of progressive talent and organizational consulting or recruiting experience
  • Ability to successfully persuade senior stakeholders
  • Excellent time management skills to handle competing priorities that require communication and attention to detail
  • Broad understanding of current business trends and strategies
  • Knowledge of HR metrics
  • Ability to think strategically and objectively while also considering global implications
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Outstanding project and program management skills
  • Fluent English language skills; additional European language like French, German, Italian, or Russian is a plus
  • Experience with and involvement in topics like organizational design, succession planning, and workforce planning is a plus
