DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Working in a global team of highly talented and motivated individuals, the Business Development Manager will be instrumental in accelerating Hach’s growth in the Maritime industry. This is a key global leadership role, focused on building strategic relationships with large international Maritime customers, with a focus across North America, Europe, and Asia. This position will develop a network based on credibility, quality solutions, and long-term customer relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop strategic relationship/partnership with Maritime customers.
- Find prospects and build a sales funnel in collaboration with regional sales leaders, to meet revenue and profit growth targets for Maritime.
- Collect and distill Maritime customer and market insights to identify high-growth applications and validate concepts and business cases for new solutions
- Conduct and lead market research, including voice-of-the-customer interviews, to assess current and future customer requirements and benchmark competition.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales organization to demonstrate new and higher standards for well-executed new product introductions and commercial tactics to drive growth for existing products.
- Build strategic alliances and partnership with companies offering complementary products.
Job Requirements Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, chemistry, or chemical engineering preferred, MBA preferred.
- Professional experience in business development and/or sales, preferably at a global level.
- Experience working within a large global organization.
- Travel will be approximately 50%-75%; domestic and international.
