Job Description

Collins Aerospace - Aerostructures division provides direct nacelle technical support via our regional Airline Support Managers for our nacelle products to our airline customers worldwide.An exciting opportunity has arisen to enhance our airline service levels with the addition of an Airline Support Manager based at our Prestwick Aerostructures Service Center Scotland. This position will report to our Regional Airline Support Director.The successful candidate will be the primary contact for designated airlines within the IATA II region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and will provide technical support and on-site training. You will also work alongside the Aftermarket Business Development team as well as Maintenance Repair and Overhaul sites to identify and support commercial agreements and enhance customer relationships.Key responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate all on-site Collins Aerospace technical support for the customer
* Conduct on-site surveys and inspections;
* Operate as the main contact for OEM representatives relating to Collins Aerospace technical support;
* Effectively analyse, anticipate, define and resolve technical issues in accordance with published guidelines and support from the Aftermarket team;
* Develop job related standard processes and instructions;
* Support the investigation of field problem resolution.
* Co-ordinate with OEM representatives and operator maintenance / operations personnel to collect performance data on Collins Aerospace products.
* Facilitate maintenance and operational training at customer facilities to familiarise maintenance personnel with thrust reverser rigging, engine build up, maintenance repair methods etc.
* Provide technical assistance to the Business Development Manager in support of any spare part sales, MRO services agreements or Flight Hour Agreements.
* Investigate technical accuracy of warranty claims and, with the support of the commercial contracts group, authorise acceptance or rejects claims in accordance with applicable program contract requirements
* Provides insight on customer strategies relative to flight operations, maintenance philosophy, business practices and functional organisation to aid Collins Aerospace business decisions and business plan development.
* Assist the global airline support team with general technical queries on a day-to-day basis.
* Work with other functional groups within the Aftermarket business that has a direct impact on the Airline such as one-off repairs, project engineering, warranty, technical publications etc
Requirements:
Candidate Requirements:
You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) and have a solid background working in the aerospace sector with a comprehensive understanding of airline maintenance procedures. You will have excellent technical knowledge of commercial aircraft. You will be a persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Compliance with all Collins Aerospace policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and ITC requirements is essential. Must be willing to travel both within the UK and Internationally.
