Our Carrier Solutions team is seeking an Architect to lead the technical direction and provide engineering leadership for the platform. The Carrier Solutions team is responsible for building web and mobile platforms that our 75,000+ carrier partners use to expedite commerce across the world. Our Navisphere Carrier and Driver mobile applications alone are used by over 10,000 carriers daily, allowing them to find and book freight, manage their current freight, automate status updates, view billing and payment status, and submit documentation.

We are building world class Supply Chain Solutions, as part of our mission we want to build great Carrier experience products to support millions of transactions and interactions. We are in the process of migrating to Cloud and revamping our entire Carrier facing products.

In this role, you will be driving the Architectural Vision for our Carrier Facing Products. You will be working closely with iOS, Android, API, UX, and Web engineers, business sponsors, and broader technology teams to deliver on our vision of building the world’s most powerful supply chain platform for our carrier partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction of the Navisphere Carrier Mobile, Web, and API products
• Create the architectural vision
• Coordinate and lead architectural discussions and decision making
• Create and maintain positive, productive working partnerships and relationships with our engineering and Business teams
• Research and adopt new engineering tools, technologies, and processes
• Lead our Cloud Migration Strategy for Carrier Products
• Build Highly Scalable Solutions

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of product development experience
• Extensive experience building highly scalable, performant software
• Working knowledge of common server software including but not limited to Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, RabbitMQ / ActiveMQ, Kafka, Vault, Redis, MongoDB
• Proven experience with REST APIs written in C# or Node.js
• Proficient in SQL and one or more relational database system – Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL
• Experience building and using automation tools, CI/CD, unit testing, and promoting a culture of quality software development
• Experience deploying applications in Cloud and serverless architecture
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with or passionate to learn iOS and/or Android software development
• Knowledge of messaging systems including RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka, or similar
• Understanding of Javascript and familiarity with one or more popular Javascript UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Experience with Data Analytics and common Data Science tooling including Python, Hadoop, Spark, R
• Understanding of globalization and localization of products
• A mindset of continual learning, growth, and entrepreneurial spirit
• Positive, collaborative attitude focused on team and product success
• Passionate about product development, software engineering and leading teams
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
