Job Description

The Customer Marketing Team is looking for a senior marketing manager to help us build and scale our automated and email onboarding experience for customers.

Today, most HubSpot onboarding is delivered 1:1 by a human. But the world is changing; many of our customers would prefer to learn in a self-service environment, and we need to enable them as effectively as if they had interacted with a human.

In this role, you’ll be pioneering our mission to leverage automation to activate and provide value to customers. You’ll work cross-functionally across Marketing, Product, Sales and Services to empower our customer base to get set-up on and using HubSpot. You’ll experiment, build, personalise and scale our global onboarding program, particularly for our international database.

Some of the things you’ll work on include:

  • Being the strategic owner and thought leader across the company on automated onboarding
  • Designing, writing and building onboarding communications
  • Identifying new cohorts of customers that need automation and working cross-functionally to pilot and scale
  • Experimenting to optimize and iterate on automation and finding new ways to provide customers value at every step of their onboarding journey
  • Aligning with Marketing, Customer Success leadership and Product to expand the program and create a consistent, omni-channel experience
  • Owning reporting for automated onboarding and defining new metrics for success
  • Experimenting with new channels, such as SMS, HubSpot mobile app, chat, etc.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong passion for customer experience. You find yourself being the voice of the customer in cross-departmental projects
  • Is excited by solving tough problems no one else has solved
  • Is creative and has a keen sense of how to innovate on content and UX
  • Loves working on high-impact, cross-departmental initiatives that require expert project and stakeholder management
  • Has an analytical and operational mindset

You should have the following skills or experiences:

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience in email marketing, lead/customer nurturing and/or user onboarding
  • Proven expertise in project management and cross-group collaboration
  • Ability to re-invent and not just execute on status quo, comfortable with change and a fast-paced environment
