We are looking for a UX Researcher with a passion for identifying and reporting on our users’ needs, expectations, and desires across our portfolio of applications. This role would be responsible for a core contribution on a wide range of initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Help ship beautiful software products by working closely with Engineers, PMs, Designers, and QA• Team up with, and mentor your coworkers as we research the unique challenges Blizzard presents to us• Create and execute a wide array of User and Product research and interviews• Understand what our users are doing and why through Analytics, competitive analysis, interviews, A/B testing, usability, and more• Help establish best practices for design, program management and engineering teams to leverage user research• Strategize and contribute to the design of products and features with the right combination of creativity, moxie and energy to get things done

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years as Researcher, Data Scientist, Usability Specialist, Analyst, or similar on websites, software applications, games and mobile apps• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio of work• Exceptional design research skills and strong understanding of usability in digital products• Proficiency using/conducting design research and the use of design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Axure, InVision, Sketch, etc.• Effectively collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary team members to explain and evangelize research findings and proposals• Strong communicator with a passion to learn and contribute• Great attention to detail and solid organization• A self-starter that loves a team environment• Open-minded, friendly, with a positive attitude• Examples of data-driven decision-making based on your research• Examples of easily digestible story-based research findings• Examples of both quantitative and qualitative reports
