What You Will Do

Job Summary:

Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
  • Documents treatment interventions given.
  • May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
  • You will do all of this while contributing to mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement: Service to the poor - Support the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life. What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education:
  • Diploma
    • High school diploma or GED requiredWork Experience:
  • 1 year of acute care experience preferred
  • ICU experience preferred
