About the Team
You will be part of the Customer Relationship Marketing team responsible for managing and optimizing the advertising investment across our print and digital channels. Optimization and execution of marketing campaigns across programs and channels that drive new customer acquisition as well as increased mindshare and wallet share with our existing customer base. You will ensure our marketing investments are delivering against core KPI's and that your marketing campaigns are aligned with the Pottery Barn brand's key initiatives and growth strategies.
About the Role
The Analyst will support the Marketing Manager and Sr. Analyst to help drive brand sales and optimize the marketing investment across our print and digital channels. They will help develop plans in support of key brand initiatives that will drive profitable growth as well as help identify programs to acquire new, retain existing, and reactivate customers. Key responsibilities also include planning and execution of testing and optimization of campaign performance and scaling successful campaigns. Test content and marketing messaging, report on KPI's and help the Manager and Sr. Analyst with annual and monthly budgeting. They will partner with the program managers in paid social, affiliate marketing, display marketing, and other digital channels in planning, implementing, measuring, and optimizing the brands online spend. Weekly and monthly campaign performance and reporting are key responsibilities for this role. The candidate will help facilitate and support key brand initiatives with cross-functional partners including Registry and ad hoc store support. This person will work primarily in the Pottery Barn Kids brand but will play a support role on Pottery Barn Teen. A successful candidate will have some experience in performance marketing, possess an analytical mindset and be highly detail-oriented. They should be able to be flexible and thrive in a fast paced, multi-channel retail environment.

* Assist in planning and executing all digital and print campaigns and strategies
* Cultivate a deep understanding of the Pottery Barn Kids' products and brand stories, and translate them into customer-driving campaigns across a diverse digital portfolio
* Support team in the oversight of the online and print marketing budgets, make recommendations for reallocation and/or investment based on individual program performance
* Work alongside digital subject matter experts to identify new partnerships as well as opportunities for optimizing existing partnerships based on brand strategies and initiatives
* Collaborate with key brand stakeholders to implement creative briefing process for all digital and print assets
* Support measurement and analyses on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing digital programs, applying insights to the evaluation of new opportunities based on program KPI's
* Present analysis and recommendations to team, for example, weekly sales results and campaign strategies
* Coordinate store opening/closing marketing plans; assist with project management function across various functions in the organization including email, digital, Customer Analytics, Store Operations, etc.
* Support team in creating and executing multi-vehicle/channel & life stage programs including (but not limited to) New Mover, New Parent.
* Participate in management of key vendors
* Participate in developing profitable catalog and print circulation strategies that balance trade-off of pages, reach, frequency and format
* Manage catalog production process across all drops throughout the year
* Partner with Customer Analytics to measure incrementality of all marketing programs, continually improving the efficiency of our investment
* Work alongside team to develop customer growth plans including new customer acquisition, lapsed customer reactivation and existing customer retention
* Use data to identify, target and deliver relevant messaging to key strategic customer segments
* Execute against rolling 12-month test plan to continually fuel a pipeline of new tactics; make recommendations for new tests based on learnings
* Support Pottery Barn brands on One Home marketing plans and program reporting across both digital and print channels
* React to business trends in the fast-paced retail environment and make necessary adjustments
* Collaborate across brands with your peer set to help accelerate best practices and winning marketing strategies

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in online marketing, print marketing, retail marketing, or digital media planning
* Proven track record in managing a budget to ROI goals
* Analytical, proactive, problem-solver with insatiable curiosity
* Strategic and analytical thinker; ability to evaluate alternatives and develop effective solutions
* Ability to build effective relationships within team & with cross functional partners & vendors
* Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment; able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced business
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Able to see trends and to extract actionable insights from data to drive results
* Strong organization and interpersonal skills; must have excellent communication & presentation skills; highly resourceful and able to work independently
* Strong Excel spreadsheet proficiency
