What you’ll be doing...

You will be the face of Verizon on college campuses introducing students to who we are and our career opportunities. You’ll be helping us find great talent with the potential to make a difference for our customers and drive our business forward. The students you bring in will become part of the community of talented, driven individuals that make Verizon a great place to work.

In this role, you’ll be:

  • Focusing on meeting hiring goals in a timely manner, with a focus on quality and HRIS system compliance.
  • Building relationships with students to brand Verizon as an employer of choice.
  • Managing external relationships with colleges/universities aligned to business unit/functional area(s) to attract and identify talent.
  • Representing Verizon at campus events as needed (e.g. career fairs, information sessions, and conferences).
  • Sourcing the best students through a variety of channels like career fairs, digital tools, and referrals.
  • Working with stakeholders, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to consult on hiring needs and provide frequent, high-quality updates.
  • Coordinating high-volume interview days for students.
  • Facilitating the process from beginning to a successful offer.
  • Working on various campus process improvement projects.

What we’re looking for...

You enjoy working with students and helping them see the possibilities in their future. You understand the factors that students consider for their first job and would enjoy helping them imagine themselves at Verizon.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 75% during peak times; including overnight travel during recruitment season.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Recruiting experience.
  • Strong event planning skills.
  • Experience and interest in public speaking/presenting.
  • High proficiency in the latest word processing, presentation, and reporting software (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, etc.); Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and CRM experience.
  • Experience acting as an ambassador for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Experience managing all steps in the full life cycle of a search, and a high requisition load.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Experience with HR analytics to assess progress against KPIs and against workforce plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish rapport with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to travel and willingness to attend or facilitate meetings and events during evening and weekend hours as needed.
