Job summary

The Red Hat User Experience Design team is looking for a content strategy intern to join our growing group in Boston, MA. In this role, you’ll be a cheerleader for product design at Red Hat, crafting a smart social media strategy, identifying ways to make our web presence more compelling, and working with other members of the team to design supporting resources like presentations and videos. You’ll also help create and improve standards for our growing content strategy practice, and support our UX designers with writing help as needed.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with UXD team members to research and write blogs to help tell the UXD story
  • Help to establish and execute on a social media strategy for the UXD organization
  • Work with UXD team members and leadership to update our online presence
  • Contribute to our growing set of UX writing standards for the PatternFly design system to help us establish a unified voice across products and platforms

Required skills

  • Ability to work full-time hours during the summer of 2020 in the location listed (Boston, MA)
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree studies in communications, English, journalism, or a related field of study
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and writing skills
  • Proven ability to work on your own

Experience with or interest in the following is considered a plus:

  • Agile development
  • Open source projects
  • Design systems
