DUTIES:
Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques.
Provides reports regularly.
Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases and data systems.
Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Filters and cleans data, reviews computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Profiles data sources using SQL and other data discovery tools in support of data quality analysis and business intelligence design efforts.
Creates detailed requirements for functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and non-functional (e.g., data, security) capabilities.
Works closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.
Partners with team members to develop project schedules, reports and documentation.
May be required to act as project lead on small to medium-sized projects and provide direction to others on the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Math, MIS, Business or related.
Five (5) years of required Analyst or related experience must include: Financial Services experience; Data Quality Monitoring and analysis within an Enterprise Consolidate Data System (CDS); Creating queries and analyzing results for root cause; Running testing and analysis; populating scripts and following through to production implementation, including testing at each development stage (DEV, QA, PROD); Tracking core table data to reference/lookup/target tables and ensuring alignment with business requirements; Data models, database design development and data mining; Experience using Web Services; Operation Systems such as Windows Server, Guardian (HPNS); MS SQL Server; Oracle DB; MS Access; NonStop SQL; C# .NET; T-SQL; PL/SQL; SQL/MP; XML; VBA; RegEx; SSIS and ODI: MS Visual Studio; MS SSMS; SQL Developer; TOAD; SQLXPress; IIS; MSMQ; FTP; SSH; TCP/IP; Jira; Quality Center; MS TFS; MS Cluster; IBM BPM; ADP/SIS; BMC Control-M; Outside View; SoapUI; WinSCP; and MS Office.
