About the role

We're looking for a Visual Designer to partner with our product design team and work on the Robinhood iOS, Android and web products. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team that has garnered significant accolades including the Apple Design Award and Google Play Award. You will be an ambassador of brand design within the product team. You’ll work closely with product designers to define how the Robinhood visual brand can evolve within our products. E nsuring the precision of graphic elements and the preparation of files for product development. You have an incredible eye for detail, a rigid following of brand guidelines, and mastery of Figma and Adobe CS.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Articulate complex visions through simple, elegant designs
• Generating a diverse array of designs in response to a design brief
• Ensuring all deliverables are meeting business expectations, including adherence to established brand guidelines and timelines.
• Acting upon critique and design feedback
• Designing and producing an array of visual assets for product, such as onboarding cards, iconography and typographic designs.
• Exporting assets in a series of formats for development.
• Building a product design asset library
• Collaborate effectively with product and brand designers, researchers, engineering, product management, marketing, and other team members
• Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends

Some things we consider critical for this role:

• Love and care for Design craft
• 3+ years experience and a solid portfolio of creative design-focused work for top-notch digital products. Illustrating for consumer products or consumer-oriented campaigns.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, brand design or equivalent experience.
• Has independently executed on multiple campaigns and creative projects
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing concept development, visual design, color, layout, iconography, and typography.
• Ability develop an icon set
• Working in a large variety of styles
• Attention to detail and deadline-orientation
• Expert level skills in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma
• Strong conceptual thinking
• Deep knowledge of design principles and methods
