Corporate Counsel (APAC)

Job Description

HubSpot is looking for a Corporate Counsel to provide a key commercial leadership and support role on the HubSpot Legal Team. This role will be based in our Singapore office.

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Serve as our first APAC-based Legal counsel
• Provide client and customer-focused strategic business partnership on APAC-based commercial legal matters, operations and compliance
• Provide first-line support to our APAC-based Sales and Services team on customer, commercial contract and process matters
• Work with other various business teams on a variety of legal processes, risks and opportunities as needed

We are looking for people who:

• Are qualified to practice law in Singapore, the U.K., the U.S., Australia, or other common law jurisdiction. Experience practicing law in APAC region is preferred
• Have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience practicing law as in-house counsel ( preferably at a technology company)
• Have significant experience with review of commercial contracts and feel comfortable running an independent negotiation process
• Are able to handle a broad range of commercial contract matters and work efficiently and effectively in a crazy fast-paced, and transparent environment
• Are able to make decisions and provide advice/explain the rationale for the decision to a curious and empowered team
• Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members
• Effectively handle high-volume and prioritization of tasks
• Possess strong communication skills, especially via an internal wiki, Slack and Zoom (it’s how we communicate)
• Have superior organizational skills
• Want to learn quickly
• Have fluency in English
• Are passionate about the values in the HubSpot Culture Code
