Job Description

The platforms that support Powerwall, Powerpack, Megapack, Tesla Solar, Solar Roof, Powerhub, Supercharger, Autobidder, Model S/3/X, and the Tesla App need to be reliable, scalable, and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We need to develop new services and evolve existing services in a reliable manner without getting bogged down in operational toil. Tesla is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to build services, infrastructure, and processes to help deliver great products with unmatched reliability and agility, driving the worldwide transition to sustainable distributed energy.

You will leverage technologies like Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Helm, Terraform, InfluxDB, Splunk, but this is primarily a software development role with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering. You will identify opportunities to improve reliability and empower teams to do more with less. You will allow small teams to scale through reliability, automation, and great visibility into operations from the tools and procedures that you develop.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain tools, automation, and infrastructure to drive reliable and agile delivery of software services at scale.

• Characterize complex problems related to the scalability, reliability, performance, and security of production systems.

• Provide technical leadership and foster collaboration.

• Maintain the high quality standards of the team.
