Project Manager, Supplier Ops Analytics

Our team finds strategies and solutions by working with our suppliers to deliver our customers' orders to them at an industry leading speed and reliability, while ensuring the products arrive in the right condition. We are a highly data-oriented team that provides analyses, insights, and reporting to tackle our toughest supply chain problems. We work cross-functionally to drive down the occurrence and impact of product incidences (e.g. damages, defects, lost items, etc.), to further grow Wayfair as the favorite stop for all things home. What you’ll do
  • Define strategy, roadmap, and feature requirements for a key supply chain reporting initiative
  • Work cross-functionally to engage various stakeholder groups across Wayfair to lead the development of reporting tools that bring visibility to inefficiencies in the supply chain
  • Proactively communicate status of initiative and performance to key stakeholders
  • Use creativity to identify new data sets and automation opportunities, and use existing data sets in new ways, to answer emerging business questions.
  • Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights from analyses
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to develop processes and tools for reporting and generating insights for action by supply chain teams
  • Stay organized while pivoting and refining strategies as priorities evolve over time
What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top school ideally in a quantitative field (math, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, etc.); MBA or relevant graduate education is a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience in ecommerce or a relevant professional field (management consulting or other professional services is a plus)
  • Experience in Product Management in a technology field is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for operating cross-functionally
  • Proven track record in taking ownership of a product to deliver results within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong quantitative skills; demonstrated ability to develop analytical methodologies and assumptions, use data software to conduct analyses, and synthesize findings
  • Knowledge of SQL (incl. Aggregate functions, joins, etc.) or other structured programming language(s) (e.g. Python, Java, C)
  • Hands-on experience conducting quantitative analyses on large data sets. Experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) and visualization programs such as Tableau
  • Experience in retail, supply chain, logistics is a plus
