Shutterstock is looking for top technologists to join our Music engineering team to help drive the future growth of our e-commerce platform. You will be working with highly-motivated and talented engineers on a full-stack system with quality, performance, and scale in mind at every step of the way.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to all aspects of the application under the team’s ownership, which includes design, implementation, refactoring, documentation, automated testing.
• Helping other team members grow as engineers through code review, pairing, and mentoring.
• Play a major role in the development of key applications within the Shutterstock ecosystem.
• Drive architectural decisions that are both in line with company direction and team requirements.
• Participate in discussions to help improve the general development experience in a monorepo structure.
• Collaboration with others to develop best practices.

Requirements :

• 2+ years of relevant software development experience using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with modern web frameworks like React, Vue or Angular.
• Experience with automated testing (unit test, end-to-end test)
• Ability to craft simple and elegant solutions to complex problems.
• Passionate about what you do and care deeply about the things you build.
• Able to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related experience.

Bonus Skills:

• Redux state management
• End-to-end testing with Cypress
• Experience in back end development with Node.js
• Experience with static typing (Typescript)
• Experience in an Agile environment
