SVMK is looking for a high-performing and driven finance professional to join the Company as a Revenue Accountant. This role is newly created to support our growing business. You will be a part of the Revenue Accounting Team which handles the Company’s customer contract negotiation, revenue recognition and reporting, invoicing, payments application, collection and period-end close.

• Day to day function of revenue accounting including revenue reporting, reconciliation, preparation of journal entries and audit PBCs
• Month-end and quarter-end close on A/R, Revenue and Deferred Revenue areas
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports on the above subjects
• Work with cross-functional teams (G/L, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Business Systems and IT) on OTC-related topics that impacts a/r and revenue
• Assist external auditors with request and follow up on findings
• Contribute to process improvements and systems implementation
• Assist with revenue accounting projects such as ASC 606 implementation, RevPro upgrade, Zuora integration, etc.
• Self-starter and willing to take ownership of task

• B.S. /B.A. – Accounting or equivalent degree with emphasis in accountancy
• Minimum 2 years of experience in revenue accounting and OTC cycle
• Big 4 experience preferred but not required
• CPA certification is a plus
• Experience in or be willing to learn the operational aspects of revenue and a/r cycle
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with NetSuite, SalesForce, RevPro and Zuora is a huge plus
• Be a team player who are comfortable with both support and lead roles as needed
• Independent self-starter, able to follow tasks through completion and connect the dots
