What We’re Looking for

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer who loves designing thoughtful products that will be used by hundreds of thousands of users and businesses every day. You will be integrally involved in the entire product cycle - working with research, UX, design, development, customer experience, and marketing teams to design and launch new features in a rapid development environment.

You are self-motivated, highly-organized, analytical, and persuasive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Work within Later’s cross-functional (design, engineering, marketing) teams to iterate on existing or new features
• Participate in user research phase alongside UX designers to understand user goals and contribute to designing product flows and architecture
• Collaborate to build a holistic user experience and bridge overlapping functionalities between features and platforms (Web, iOS, Android)
• Take detailed UX specifications and translate into interface and markup (HTML/CSS) that meets the vision and key objectives of the feature.
• Contribute to building out practices, rituals and culture across Later’s design teamE

Education, Skills & Experience

• A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, communications or business or completion of a college program in computer science, graphic arts, Web design or business is required.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your best work
• Experience delivering end-to-end (from ideation to shipping) digital products within a cross-functional team environment
• Ability to define problems, map user flows, prototype ideas, and produce quality deliverables across different platforms
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience with building and maintaining design systems
• Understanding of usability, layout, typography and visual hierarchy principles
• Ability to explore and test a breadth of approaches with rough prototypes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
