About this role:

The primary function is to complete data analysis to solve for or make recommendations on business issues based on historical data.

What you’ll do:

• Write custom queries to answer complex business problems and questions
• Able to analyze results, interpret and communicate the results and findings to the business.
• Hypothesis validations: Participate in hypothesis validation as part of testing request intake and clearly validate opportunities/recommend actions that can have positive improvements in the business's site experience
• Delivers insights -- objectively deliver testing insights and help create a culture of data-driven decision making, in a timely manner
• Establish strong working partnerships with relevant areas of the business (Marketing, Creative and Engineering)
• Communicate results, identify successes, failures, trends. Partnering & Influencing: Summarize test results for overarching themes, findings and communicate actionable recommendations to stakeholders and executives.
• Addressing data quality issues, such as data gaps or biases in data acquisition.

Working with the rest of engineering to instrument incremental new data acquisition.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Business Experience
• 1 – 3 years of analytical work experience in high data volume environments (preferably in internet, software or technology industries).
• Excellent analytical skills including proficiency in using web analytic tools and data analysis, analyzing metrics
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-discipline environment
• Effective collaboration style for both technical and business teams, ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to positively influence and develop consensus with teams not in a direct report alignment
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Expert level Excel
• Visualization tool experience: Tableau, PowerBI
• SQL skill preferred but not required

Who you are:

The Data Analyst will import, export, cleanse, maintain, and analyze data used by the content team. Will be responsible for managing the routine processes associated with data acquisition, data on-boarding and data tracking and reporting.
