ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced, talented, and highly motivated Content Marketing Manager to join the SEO team and lead Udemy’s User Generated Content operation. As the Content Marketing Manager you will be working directly with Udemy’s top instructors to generate marketing assets such as articles and videos that will fuel existing and new landing pages to increase rankings on SEO, generate backlinks, and drive new users to Udemy. In addition, you will work cross functionally with our marketing channels including email, social, ads, on-site, partnerships and PR to promote the content you generated and drive its success. The Content Marketing Manager will also build and lead a team of contractors and full time SEO writers and link builders to scale Udemy’s content operations to more topics and languages. The Content Marketing Manager will be reporting to the Director of SEO.

Here's what you'll be doing:
- Analyze content opportunities such as blog articles, Youtube videos, ebooks, webinars, etc
- Build a content strategy for our blog and develop a yearly asset calendar
- Communicate with our users and structured data team to collect and generate marketing content
- Collaborate with our marketing channel owners to promote the marketing content and drive performance and extract content synergies
- Work cross functionally with product, design and engineering on creating landing pages and connecting the marketing content to our product user experience
- Hire, develop, and lead a team of up to 5 SEO writers and editors to scale content operation to more topics and languages
We’re excited about you because you have:
- 5+ years experience in content marketing, SEO or a related marketing field
- Extensive experience in producing content marketing campaigns that drive traffic or/and links to site
- Experience in planning editorial content strategy (e.g: blog). Experience in utilizing user generated content is a plus
- Proven results in driving business results via content, specifically, ranking content on Google
- Experience in managing directly a team, building collaborative and high-achieving cross functional teams, working with agencies, and managing contractors
- Super analytical. Can find diamonds in the rough using website traffic and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Brightedge. Experienced with analyzing data using advanced Excel and SQL (Chartio or Tableau experience is a plus)
- Execution. Have a strong bias for getting stuff done quickly and with high quality
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to present and communicate confidently at all levels of an organization (both technical and non-technical)
- Customer first. Fully embraces that the route to great SEO is through a winning user experience. Solve for user need, then solve for business
- Experience with both B2C and B2B SEO and content marketing strategies is a plus
- Works effectively within tight deadlines
- Master’s degree required
