Senior Software Development Manager- Cloud

Are you a mentor and coach who helps good engineers become truly great? We’re looking for a senior engineering manager like you to join our growing team! We deliver award-winning cloud-based software, releasing every two weeks to our happy (and rapidly growing) global customer base. Our stack is React/Java/Spring/SQL. We run our production environment in AWS and own it end-to-end. We pride ourselves in delivering high-quality working code quickly, and always trying to improve. What we want you to do: Lead our engineering team to success by collaborating with other leaders on the vision, and leading the charge to deliver excellent features and architecture improvements. Use your skills as a mentor, guide, and facilitator to raise the performance of the whole team. Own big projects from concept to design to production, collaborating with your team, product managers, UX, and other leaders along the way. Occasionally travel to Apptio engineering centers in other cities to drive cross-team initiatives. Basic Qualification:

• 2 years managing a team of software engineers
• 5 years of experience delivering cloud software
• Proven ability to deliver to roadmap commitments in an agile environment
• Experience working with remote teams, both onshore and offshore
• Track record of raising dev team performance – via assessing talent, mentoring others, facilitating technical discussions, and providing candid feedback
• Ability to drive large initiatives by collaborating across multiple teams
• Passion for working with customers, product management, and senior management to deliver value to the market
• BS in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with various web application development technologies and tools, e.g., Spring, React, Redux, NodeJS, REST, CSS, and Python.
• Great communication, both written and verbal, appropriately calibrated to the audience
• Experience engaging with senior leadership to report on and adjust deliverables
• 2 years each in AWS, Java and React, or comparable technologies
