Job Description
The Tomahawk program is seeking to hire a Product Program Manager located in Tucson, Arizona at Raytheon Missile Systems. The Maritime Strike Tomahawk (MST) Product Program Manager is responsible for elements of the MST program to include the interface with primary suppliers including internal suppliers, the LRIP proposal negotiations, LRIP execution, affordability activities for the seeker and the MST upgrade to the Guidance Test Set (GTS). The position will report to the MST program manager which reports to the development director. The program is part of the Cruise Missile Portfolio program office, which is a part of the Air Warfare Systems product line at Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona.
This position includes supplier interfaces for MST suppliers and will also have frequent customer communication in order to support the customer and mission. The position supports the organization by developing and enhancing external and internal partnerships with suppliers and organizations such as contracts, finance, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics and other support organizations. They are responsible for affordability of the system and removing barriers and defining Low Rate Initial production solutions that support the leaders including people development. In addition, it is expected this person will be responsible for the preparation of MST LRIP product line reviews, inputs, Estimate at Completions (EAC), and financial (RONA) packages, conducting weekly meetings, meet with key partners, and attend Product Line meetings. Occasional domestic travel is required.
This position acts with a reasonable degree of independence, restricted by basic policies and objectives, assists in planning, directing and controlling all relevant business operations, makes final decisions on administrative, technical and operational issues and responsible for the final results and effectiveness.
Requirements:- 10+ years DoD experience in Program Management, and/or appropriate functional experience in directly supporting program objectives managing cost, schedule and technical performance
- Existing Secret Clearance required
- Knowledge of creating strategic plans and abilities to manage those initiative throughout the full execution, including wide ranging, and in-depth experiences and agilities in large scale transition to production assignments
- Experience managing integration and transition to production processes
- Experience leading technologically diverse teams across broad areas of expertise
- Experience working government programs with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external, including industry partners
Desired Skills:- Strong proficiency in developing, production roadmaps, and responsibility for executing approved plans
- Raytheon Program Level 4 certification or equivalent. Program Managers will have to eventually obtain a Program Level 4 certification to continue employment in this role
- Earned Value Management Systems certification
- Working knowledge of EX/IM and Security requirements
- Multi-functional stretch assignment(s) with broad perspectives of cross-functional responsibilities
- Demonstrated program execution experience managing program staffing, assignments and resources
- Strong proficiency in partnering in matrixed organizations such as finance, contracts, engineering
- Demonstrated strong Leadership and Communication skills
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, but preference of concentration in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics; Master’s degree preferred
