As the Manager, Merchandising Operations-Capability Development, you will be responsible for delivering new capabilities that drive our business forward. You will work directly with our Merchandising community, translating strategy and vision into reality. With a focus on line, assortment and flow planning, you will partner with technology, analytics and operational teams to develop new capabilities delivering greater efficiency and impact.

This is a unique operations role centered around driving future ways of working for our Merchandising community. The role requires a forward-thinking individual, energized by complex and highly cross-functional projects. A successful individual in this role will be a strong strategic thinker and excellent communicator with an aptitude for driving change. You will be required to understand how our consumer shops, behaves and engages with our brand, helping to build new processes and ways of working that allow our merchants to deliver consumer-led line, assortment and flow plans. You must work across a diverse group of functions including Nike Direct, Demand Planning, Product Management, Design, Marketing and Marketplace to deliver impact at scale. In partnership with the Merchandising Operations activation team, you will help to bring speed, efficiency and simplicity to life.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of professional work experience in merchandising, management consulting, corporate strategy, operations, or a related field (3+ years of work experience with an MBA).
  • Demonstrated ability to partner on cross—functional teams supporting large scale change across an organization.
  • Expert problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Compelling, high-impact storyteller with the ability to influence at multiple levels throughout the organization.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong retail or digital product acumen.
  • Knowledge of product management and agile methodology strongly preferred.
