As Director of Public Sector Marketing, you will be hands-on and responsible for driving growth and support of the go-to-market strategy for the Public Sector in order to meet and exceed revenue goals, delivering measurable results. You will be an active collaborator and team player, and be able to think strategically while executing tactically to capture key opportunities. You will report to the VP, Marketing but closely align with business priorities defined by the GM, Public Sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a Government marketing strategy, and generate pipeline and qualified leads through industry and technology events, public relations, digital marketing and other programs. Develop, execute and measure campaign-focused marketing plans and lead generation programs.
- Organize and execute sales and marketing events for the direct and channel sales teams.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the public sector AI/Machine learning industry. Be expert (along w/ GM) on Public sector buyers, including how they buy and buying criteria, DataRobot value proposition, and key use cases. Communicate this throughout the company in form of sales enablement materials and live training.
- Develop needed sales tools to support sales cycle (i.e. sales playbook) and help Sales effectively sell the platform and overall solutions
- Develop and roll-out persona-based Public Sector messaging. understand Public sector buyer persona and apply appropriate persona-based messaging across marketing content/campaigns as well as sales tools.
- Drive digital strategy to focus on increasing pipeline and conversions.
- In conjunction with Content team, create buyer-centric content (blogs, white papers, ebooks, website copy ) to generate awareness and demand for our solutions in Public sector
- Conduct public and government relations activities and maintain customer liaison.
- Manage the DataRobot Federal website content and internal Wiki.
- Develop and execute budgets and manage marketing personnel and contractors.
- Monitor performance against plan and take the best actions to address shortfalls and other issues.
- Give insights on competitor activities/strategies and appropriate DataRobot positioning in Public sector.
Skills
- 8+ years of experience as a Public Sector Marketing Manager in the analytics domain.
- Proven track record of designing and managing integrated end-to-end campaigns.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills.
- Strong background and understanding of social media as a conduit to generate awareness.
- BS degree in Marketing, Business Studies or similar field.
- Experience with marketing automation systems including Salesforce and Marketo (or similar).
- Highly organized individual with a proven attention to complex program details.
- A self-starter who has strong work ethic and can manage multiple tasks and priorities.
