Description:As Nike Sportswear/Influencer Marketing Brand Director you are responsible for providing brand management, strategic leadership, functional excellence and direction for Nike Sportswear apparel and emerging footwear franchises in North Central inclusive of Chicago and Toronto. You will be responsible for pushing the edges of the brand by leveraging relationship + sport culture to enable new/or existing audiences.
Based in Chicago, you will be in charge of the creation and implementation of strategic brand plans and guide the management of execution to fuel consumer demand, drive brand strength and build our connection with consumers. Impact of this leadership should drive significant bottom-line and market share results for the brand. You will encourage + empower a team to create a deep network of influencers across sport, culture + innovation to leverage across the brand and category plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the marketing lead for Nike Sportswear apparel and emerging footwear franchises driving the full brand offense to ensure the consumer and the brand point-of-view are included in all North central’s marketing plans.
- Develops a capable network of influencers across sport, culture + innovation – creates clear journeys for every influencer to ensure optimum service + maximum leverage.
- Drive seasonal cross-functional alignment with annual operating strategy.
- Leads brand concept and creative development, marketing briefs, strategic tools and marketing plans to fuel the brand.
- Development of concepts and strategy against consumer insights and the Sportswear category vision, to drive a robust concept map and continually create new consumer experiences that accelerate brand and business growth opportunities.
- Drive collaboration through-out the game plan process to engage cross-categorically; Nike Running, Nike Basketball and the Nike Women’s Offense and cross-functionally.
- Actively contribute to business plan alignment of account partnerships with Sales.
- Lead campaign progress measurement.
- Regularly communicate with NA to ensure a North Central consumer POV is being elevated.
- Lead your team through people management and quarterly reviews with an active commitment to Experience Development Plans for your Brand Manger + Specialist.
- Lead and work effectively within a matrix organization.
Qualifications- 8+ years of relevant work experience in the area of Brand Marketing in a related industry (footwear, style, street culture)
- Demonstrated understanding of consumers and how to connect with them through a cultural lens
- Demonstrated ability to understand the product, business, marketplace and competitive landscape
- Ability to interact, network, build credibility for both themselves and the brand
- Concrete experience managing complex projects and programs that have heavy dependencies requiring strong leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically + creatively
- Strong team-orientation
- Strong verbal presentation and written communications skills
- A keen eye for design with creative passion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is critical
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Keynote
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a closely related field preferred
