Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

This position will provide strategy leadership for digital origination capabilities, reporting to the Loan Delivery program leader as part of the Wholesale Transformation Office. Part of the Loan Delivery program will be to identify opportunities and create tools that will support a customer's ability to interact with the bank digitally. In addition, it will focus on internal tools that make it easier for a team member across Wholesale Banking to perform their tasks. This is an individual contributor role, and will partner closely with Wholesale Technology, DS4B, line of business partners, Operations partners, business analyst teams, and others, across Wholesale Transformation to deliver these solutions. This role will focus on setting strategy and priority for digital tools supporting the credit origination and loan servicing activities throughout the life of the loan. They will also act as a key resource to connect various efforts underway across different lines of business to ensure we are creating common tools and consistent experiences across multiple lines of business.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite, and all risk and compliance program requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives that deliver business results
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma process improvement approaches
  • Experience in developing new systems and capabilities
  • Strong strategic leadership, solid communication and relationship building skills, problem solving skills, drives for results, and strong project management acumen
  • Knowledge of domain subject area: digital solutions supporting commercial lending customers
  • Proven ability to work successfully with all levels (including Senior Leadership) of management on high impact initiatives across multiple LOBs
  • Demonstrated experience as a results-oriented and resourceful leader, capability of quickly taking control of responsibilities and establishing oneself as a credible strategic partner
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to enroll stakeholders, peers, and management
  • Influence and collaboration skills to achieve solutions that meet the needs of the organization; able to resolve issues and overcome obstacles
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies used in Waterfall or Agile projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of SDLC methodology for technology implementation
  • Knowledge and understanding of wholesale banking credit products and services

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
