Position summary
Are you interested in combining your cyber risk and financial modelling skills to improve the cyber and organizational risk profiles of leading companies? If your response is yes, consider joining Deloitte & Touche LLP’s growing Cyber practice. Our risk quantification services professionals assist our clients in developing defendable, transparent and actionable models to prioritize cyber risks and investment decisions. This rapidly growing field brings together cyber, valuation and risk modelling methodologies to inform C-Suite and Board decision cyber investment making.
Work you’ll do
- Calculate business impact in terms of financial loss driven by business-backed impact scenarios, estimating financial losses across numerous dimensions based on defendable loss models.
- Determine expected financial loss of a company considering its cyber threat exposure and vulnerability level
- Assist clients in optimize cyber risk investment decisions to include developing costs, benefits, and return on investment (ROI) of potential investment in technology, security controls, people and process enhancements.
- Determine Financial damage due to loss of confidentiality, integrity or availability of critical business processes and information assets.
- Provide our clients a data-driven approach to estimating security risk in dollar terms, providing actionable insights for risk mitigation
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and manage risk quantification projects
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders of risk quantification solution vendors
- Support Deloitte account teams in preparing risk quantification presentations for client meetings (Pre-sales support)
- Actively contribute to the development of Deloitte cyber risk quantification methodology (research & development)
- Advise clients in implementing innovative risk management organizations and processes which drive resilience across the enterprise.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships and participate in proposal development efforts

- Operations research and/or financial modeling and business analysis skills preferred
- Excel modeling skills
- 5+ years of experience in cyber
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends and competitor activities and assist in retention of professionals.
- Knowledge of applied probability and statistical techniques is a plus (including regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and Value at Risk)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical/ problem solving skills with team working attitude
- Strong understanding of threat management, threat intelligence, and cyber control assessments
- Programming languages (e.g. Python, R) is a plus
- Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CISA) is a plus
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
