Capital One is actively seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in development of mobile applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. This is for a native mobile team with a true “start-up” mentality who works on a revolutionary product called Auto Navigator, which works on a lot of experimental and cutting-edge technologies. With an emphasis in understanding new “from scratch” development with an ever-expanding scope of new products, you’ll work with and introduce the latest technology tools and techniques. Responsibilities:

• You’re an "owner" - you have strong attention to detail and are a key team player
• Responsible for the development and execution of integration, system, and regression testing of software
• Lead testing activities for project/value stream efforts while maintaining high quality execution; identifying task dependencies, test schedules, and the utilization of test environments
• Ensure test deliverables are prepared per enterprise guidelines; monitors the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensures that technical and functional objectives are met
• Interact with the product delivery team; actively participates in product requirement/design reviews to provide input on completeness of functional requirements, product designs, and schedules
• Assess readiness and deviation of project performance based on test results
• Provide and practice automation development efficiency, maintainability and reusability
• Troubleshoot problems during automation execution
• Prepare and maintain domain documentation
• Develop high quality automation test engineering best practices, test strategy and principles.
• Responsible for helping to identify gaps and needs of the agile team; including resources, skills, task assignment and delegation

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 4 years of experience in software testing and developing automation frameworks using Karate or Cucumber or Protractor
• At least 2 years experience in developing, maintaining and executing automation tests for iOS and Android applications
• At least 3 years of experience coding in Java
• At least 2 years of experience designing and working with development teams administering software delivery tools using GIT or GitHub or AWS or Jenkins
• At least 2 years experience in creating and maintaining performance scripts using tools (JMeter)
• At least 2 years experience with RESTful APIs
• At least 2 years experience implementing automation testing for Microservices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree
• 6+ years of experience in development or test automation in one of the following: Karate, Cucumber, Protractor
• 5+ years of experience in coding in Java
• 4+ years of experience working in cloud automation in AWS
• Ability to build mobile apps from scratch using at least 1 mobile app programming language (e.g. Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin etc.) with both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD with Hudson/Jenkins tools.
