Role Profile
Our
Cybersecurity team globally is the proactive stronghold for the next generation of business success and longevity. They protect organisations most valuable digital, intellectual, and human assets against malicious attacks and fatal errors. We are going through an exciting growth phase in Australia thus looking for consultants to managers who can address our clients’ strategic, organisational, managerial, and operational issues using the most advanced cybersecurity techniques, tools, and methodologies. Our Cybersecurity consulting team are:
Technical Experts & Problem Solvers. They use their deep cyber-security knowledge and expertise to drive impact, and think creatively to solve complex client issues.
Innovators. They understand and leverage the latest & greatest cybersecurity trends to create innovative, customised solutions for BCG's clients.
Change Agents. They know what it takes to get people on board for change whether it be implementing a new cybersecurity process or introducing new toolsets. They drive (but also simplify) complex processes and projects.
Naturally curious. They are always asking “why” and are tenacious about exploring a wide range of options on the path to driving creating cybersecurity solutions.
Key responsibilities include: - Leading/working cohesively with hybrid case teams consisting of BCG/DigitalBCG on cybersecurity, strategy & risk and innovation & emerging technology cases
- Conducting cybersecurity assessments including gap analysis and roadmap development
- Developing cybersecurity strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to protect clients’ internal infrastructure and their customers
- Developing cybersecurity business strategies for technology product vendors that are integrated in the organizations overall business strategy and increase revenue and profits
- Working with leadership teams, including facilitating board and senior management cybersecurity awareness workshops
- Implementing secure development lifecycle in a variety of contexts
- Quantifying progress through cybersecurity measurements and risk quantifications
- Creating business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Developing or contributing to our cybersecurity capability offerings and collateral
- Contribute to the DigitalBCG/Cybersecurity community of practice.
Your Qualifications
Skills, experience and qualifications: - At least 6 years’ experience in cybersecurity consulting, strategy or project management in a consulting firm, federal government and/or large corporate environment
- Proven experience with, or extensive knowledge of some of the following: cybersecurity policy or strategy development, cybersecurity risk management, leading security assessments, implementing and running cybersecurity programs, developing security architectures, integrating security into system development lifecycle, cyber supply chain risk management/third party risk management, identity management, cybersecurity workforce development, cybersecurity awareness and training methods, continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessment and management, SIEM tools, penetration testing, incident management, BCP, and/or DRP
- Broad knowledge of cybersecurity technologies throughout organisational and acquisition lifecycle
- Knowledge of at least two of different cybersecurity frameworks, e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, C2M2, NIST Special Publication, ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards
- Knowledge of cybersecurity for Cloud, Big Data, and Mobile environments
- Knowledge and experience with cybersecurity regulatory environments
- Ability to write proposals, reports and develop client presentations
- Ability to present to senior management groups for both training and reporting purposes
- An active member in the cybersecurity community with a passion for presenting, developing, publishing articles and blogs
- Broad generalist digital/technology skills and knowledge
- Excellent communication, client facing and consulting skills
- Strategic mindset, presence and gravitas
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree preferably in a Cybersecurity, IT/Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline
- Flexibility to travel interstate or international for BCG case, client or internal as required
- For our Canberra based roles, applicants with Australian Citizenship is required to be eligible for australian security clearances.
