Our Office team is responsible for creating the unique Dropbox environment in our growing offices around the world. From San Francisco to Sydney, our office team locates, designs, and maintains our global campuses. Meanwhile, the Tuck Shop crew raises the culinary bar with every meal.
Role Description
We are seeking a Workplace Business Analyst to build data-driven solutions that will inform business decisions, improve efficiency, and measure REWS’ operational performance. In this role, you’ll encounter complex data problems, will work to untangle them, and translate them into actionable insights. As a member of the REWS Analytics team, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely information, with the opportunity to improve the efficiency of strategic initiatives for REWS and Dropbox. This role collaborates with the Head of Workplace Strategy & Analytics and is based out of San Francisco at Dropbox’s headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop insights from both quantitative and qualitative tools for the analysis of data related to REWS; space planning, occupancy, workplace experience, construction, events, and real estate
- Understand the complexity of our data; can track it, model it, distill it, review against key performance indicators, and be able to provide cohesive insights to help shepherd Dropbox’s investment in spaces and services
- Build industry benchmark metrics for real estate and workplace technologies that the REWS team can tap into
- Guide the creation of compelling dashboards to help identify opportunities and explain trends across data sources
- Clean, maintain, and ensure data repositories are accurate and up-to-date for just-in-time requests and consistent reporting
- Create processes to onboard new data sources; integrating into our data warehouse and across various dashboards
- Have a new way to conducting survey research, developing data models, and experimental design, including pre- and post- mortem analyses to collect eNPS/ CSAT scores
- Be a creative storyteller; use data insights to tell a story that resonates clearly, convincingly, and cross-functionally in both written and graphic form
- Ensure that the Workplace Analytics team is delivering measurable and useful performance improvements
- Work cross-functionally across the greater REWS organization, internal BI teams, and external vendors
- Create strategic micro-initiatives based on the guidance and direction of the Head of Workplace Strategy & Analytics
- Perform administrative duties including but not limited to: scheduling meetings, developing agendas, documenting processes, coordinating reports, and maintaining dashboards
Requirements
- 3- 5 years experience working in an analytics role, preferably in Real Estate & Workplace Services, business operations, or as a consultant
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- Versed in building reports with excellent data visualization skills, preferably Tableau
- Detail-oriented and keen on digging into numbers and variances
- Strong project management skills
- Commitment to accuracy and quality work
- Process oriented and capacity to assess and shift priorities as required in order to ensure deadlines are met
- Cleaned and modeled large quantities of raw, disorganized data
- Outstanding analytic skills with the ability to provide concise and meaningful insights
- Experience working with a variety of data sources (Excel, Tableau, etc)
- Fluent in MS Office
- Experience working in workplace data analytics for a technology company
- Experience working with REWS datasets, understanding their strengths, limitations, and nuances
- Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite
- Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Psychology
