Description:
This associate will be part of the Mainstreet Card Finance team. The focus of the team is to manage the profitability and financial performance of the Mainstreet Card business and to influence business partners in defining new business marketing and product schemes, and overall strategic decisions. This associate will support various aspects of the Mainstreet P&L management, including Outlooks, Long-term Financial Planning, Annual Budget, Variance Analysis, Historical Vintage Valuations and other finance valuation assumptions. In addition the associate will lead the preparation of MFRs, MBR’s, QBR’s and other reporting efforts.
Responsibilities:
P&L Forecasting:
Own one of the Mainstreet line of business P&L forecasts including changes to customer management initiatives
Manage system inputs in financial system of record (MAPS) to support Annual Budget (AB), Monthly Outlooks, Goodwill Impairment Tests, and Long-Term Financial Plans
Drive Mainstreet Card Credit Line Increase Program (CLIP) forecasting including changes to marketing campaigns, valuations, and product assumptions;
Valuation Management: Gain a deep understanding of business economics and asset valuations (NPV, IRR, DCF, paybacks); provide ongoing analysis that will be incorporated into new product launches, balance sheet and capital planning, earnings call and ad-hoc projects that relate to segment profitability and assumption changes relevant to the P&L
Manage Mainstreet Card Finance relationship with Credit Risk Management team
Process Improvements:
Help lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging LEAN principles
Ad-hoc projects: Partner with Mainstreet business to determine impact of Mainstreet strategic initiatives on Mainstreet financials
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in financial analysis
At least 2 years’ experience with financial modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis
3+ years’ experience with financial modeling
