Backend Developer

Job Description

Overview

The Backend Developer is responsible for development, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing in a C#, .Net Core environment. They will work independently, with broad direction from experienced developers, mentors, and/or a member of the development leadership team. Developers at this level are focused on building deeper and/or broader technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Daily works with development or project leaders
• Works under general supervision with few direct instructions
• Grows subject matter experience in C# programming, product and/or platform for team
• Responsible for maintaining departmental documentation of areas of subject matter expertise
• May be assigned to entire or phases of projects
• Exercises judgment to solve moderately complex problems with a limited number of variables
• Work requires a good understanding of the theoretical and applied basis for one technology
• Has developed experience in solution creation with increased business acumen

Qualifications

• Two years experience programming in C# in a backend or web application capacity
• Experience with Microservice Architecture a bonus
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• Ability to follow a formal software development methodology
• Ability to accept and adapt to changing development tasks and priorities
• Solid understanding of object oriented concepts
• Ability to accurately follow directions
• Attention to detail
