Sr Lead, Latam Revenue Strategy & Operations

Job Description

The mission of the Revenue Optimization team is focused on building the foundations for pricing/yield management and inventory optimizations through state-of-the-art analytics and predictive modeling. The group acts as an in-house consulting team analyzing data to define strategies and execute on initiatives that will maximize the revenue streams for WeWork.

Reporting into the Director of Revenue Optimization for Latam, this position includes a dual responsibility to both Global Revenue Optimization and Latam Regional Finance teams. This role will apply deep analytical expertise and problem-solving skills to develop insights and recommendations around revenue strategy, pricing and inventory optimization. This includes gathering and analyzing data, formulating and testing hypotheses, communicating insights and recommendations. This function is central to the region’s discipline around data-driven decision making on pricing and sales strategy and integral to driving how the region evaluates, prioritizes, tracks, measures and executes against strategic and business initiatives.

The ideal person for this role is highly analytical, thinks about problems in structured ways, passionate about capturing information to make recommendations for the business, and excellent at delivering actionable insights.

Key focus areas:

Strategy

• Drive analysis and communication to drive market price based on performance
• Support discount strategies through ad hoc analysis for edge scenarios
• Plan and execute analyses & models to support various revenue optimization initiatives and shape our next generation of revenue management strategy
• Effectively communicate findings and provide key insights and recommendations to both Revenue Optimization and Regional Leadership teams
• Develop and automate revenue performance reports and dashboards by assembling various data sources and summarizing key insights
• Identify revenue opportunities: develop topline strategies and pilot key global/regional initiatives

Operations

• Lead our day-to-day pricing, inventory & distribution operations within Latam – with a focus on new locations
• Drive topline performance reviews for Latam – providing key insights and areas of opportunities
• Work closely with the regional teams - across all functions (Sales, Marketing, Real Estate, Community & Operations)
• Become an expert in our Revenue Management system

Requirements

• BA/BS from a leading undergraduate institution with a major in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or other quantitative focus
• 3+ years of experience in strategy and/or finance analyst equivalent functions, 2+ years of experience in analytically-driven roles (Investment Banking, Consulting, Analytics, etc.) a big plus
• Very skilled and proficient in financial modeling, MS Excel and Powerpoint
• A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment and strong product sense
• High-energy, team player: works collaboratively and effectively across a diverse set of functions, backgrounds, and working styles
• Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
• Resourceful and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations
• Highly Innovative problem solver: possessing strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills, and demonstrating the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format
• Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment, combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle
• Enough laziness to find a faster way to do your least favorite tasks
• Proficient in English (Spanish a plus)
• Bonus points: SQL, R, Python or other programming languages; experience querying large, complex data sets
