Description: Medicare is a top growth area for Aetna as an enterprise and for the Government business. In 2020, the Group Retiree business will be responsible for over $10 billion in revenue. This senior project manager role is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of more complex projects which typically impact sales operations, process, systems, product and/or function that all work towards enabling business growth specific to the Large Group employer and Group Medicare space.

Fundamental Components: Develops and implements strategic and operational project plan to achieve business goals.
Proactively leads project and/or business by setting direction of project, creating project plan, timeline identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on selected project(s).
Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization.
Solicits and evaluates internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement.
Responsible for managing the budget and/or financial implications of more complex projects.
Identifies issues that may stall project and addresses them by either resolving the issue or creating an alternative solution.
Tracks progress and communicates project(s) status on a regular basis to all impacted parties.
Builds communication plans for implementation to ensure all impacted parties (up stream/down stream) are informed of next steps for completion.
Detailed oriented and able to manage tracking multiple workstreams for operations related initiatives and work closely with operations functional teams.
Acts as an advocate for change, may require influencing others to see the value in project, including managing interpersonal sensitivities and articulating the strategic view to ensure project alignment.
Background Experience: - Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
- Past experience includes development of budgets
- Past positions required acting as a project lead and directing different resources (team members)
- Proven ability to affect change/interpersonal skills
- Solid Project Management skills
- Experience working in fast-paced sales environment
- Past experience includes development of budgets
- 3-5 years of project management experience related to standards & measurements, technology, systems, processes etc preferred.
