PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Globalization Services enables SAP’s global footprint by helping customers succeed in their local markets by providing legal compliance, multi-language capabilities, and delivering country local best practices for SAP solutions. The economy’s drive for globalization and digitalization goes hand in hand with an emphasis on local best practices and country requirements. This makes us one of the most instrumental teams of SAP’s transition to the cloud.

Product Unit Cloud Innovations & Services is responsible for driving new technologies in localization and delivering INNOVATION and strategic topics into the countries for products like Concur, Banking, Business ByDesign, Translation and Tax services on Cloud.

SAP Business ByDesign is a cloud ERP with presence in 135+ countries and the ERP of choice in SMB segment. As a senior developer, you will play an integral job in shaping the future of our ERP SAP Business ByDesign and its localization aspect. This would include making sure we reach more countries faster, foster partners and keep the existing countries legally compliant. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic, insights-driven, dynamic and strong team player with excellent technical, problem solving, and communication skills.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Globalization Services is responsible for the localization of SAP products worldwide. Teams in GS follow the Lean Development Model requiring team members who carry out all tasks involved in the team, ranging from development to quality assurance. We’re looking for a senior developer to join our Cloud Innovations & Services scrum team

This would include -

• To understand, design, code, test and maintain product features

• To take responsibility for delivery of complex backlog items with realistic effort estimates and in high quality

• To follow SAP & Product defined programming standards and conventions

• To contribute to customer engagement topics based on expertise

• To work collaboratively in co-located and cross-located teams

• To mentor junior team members w.r.t guidelines and standards

• To keep himself/herself abreast with latest technological developments at SAP and enable usage of same in the product

• Has good functional knowledge in Finance with ByD product experience (Preferred)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering

• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in development (ABAP/JAVA, NodeJS..)

• Have results driven personality, high enthusiasm, energy and confidence.

• Self-motivated, ability and willingness to quickly take responsibility and to execute.

• Strong social skills and team player – consensus building and openness to new ideas and intercultural co-operation.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 6-9 years of experience of development in ABAP/JAVA technology

• LEAN thinking with Scrum/Agile Development experience
