Today, we are helping power retailers like Allbirds, A.P.C. and many more. The Revenue Operations team is a strategic partner across the Merchant Journey from Sales, Onboarding and Merchant Success. It enables these functions to make smarter decisions, plan confidently and achieve their goals by bringing visibility and strategic insight. As a Revenue Operations Lead, you will be the primary owner of SalesForce within the Retail GTM team. You will equip the GTM team with the tools they need, build business processes to improve their effectiveness and ensure that their operating platform (SalesForce) is maximized. This is a new role within the Retail Product Group so you will shape its focus and mandate.
Responsibilities
- Be Impactful : This is not simply a reporting function. We expect you to help drive the business through actionable insight not just data.
- Build for the Long-Term: Think strategically about the retail business and partner with other groups (sales, marketing, business operations, finance, technology) within Shopify to execute on the GTM vision.
- Constantly Learn: Be unconstrained with how ‘things are done’ in Rev Ops. Bring new perspectives and challenge assumptions.
- Be Merchant Obsessed : Think through the lense of making the biggest impact possible for our Merchants.
- Thrive on Change: Build your team and systems so that they have a strong foundation. The retail product and GTM strategy will evolve quickly over the next few years and Revenue Operations must help look 12-36 months in the future.
- Build Culture: As a senior leader, working cross-functionally with many teams, you should build a culture of teamwork, collaboration, merchant obsession and impact.
Requirements
- Significant years of experience in revenue operations and sales strategy.
- Master level proficiency with the SalesForce ecosystem.
- Experience building and managing teams in a high growth environment.
- Entrepreneurship mentality. Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently to drive impact without all the information/data readily available.
- A mentality that no project is too big or too small to give your full 100%. Will not hesitate to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, project management and organization skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and create a strong working partnership across teams.
Bonus
- Experience in a retail or e-commerce industry.
