Job Description
Reporting to the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center Operations Director, the Operations Sr. Manager is a key leadership position, responsible for ensuring manufacturing objectives are met. With Operations Senior leadership, this position is accountable for establishing strategy for a workforce of over 300+ Assemblers and Test Technician personnel. This role has direct reporting staff that ensure processes and resources are in place for daily operational excellence. This leadership position requires extensive cross matrix collaboration and communications skills, including the ability to effectively brief senior business leaders, as well as ensure cultural health at all levels of the workforce.
The Operations Manager has budgetary responsibility for the overhead, support and capital budgets. This position is responsible for team leadership and staff development, along with influencing across the matrix organization to ensure alignment. The person selected for this role will lead by embracing the Values and Behaviors defined within the Raytheon, and will cultivate an environment of Diversity and Inclusion through ERG involvement and as part of the McKinney CMC Leadership team. The Operations Manager will work across the matrix to coordinate supporting resources of Quality Engineering, Production Control, Engineering, Calibration, Tooling and Implementation of Lean methodologies.
Required Skills:- DoD Secret Level Clearance
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience including 5+ years of Recent Management Experience leading a large organization consisting of both Exempt and Non Exempt Manufacturing Employees
- Demonstrated leadership success influencing to achieve results within a highly complex organizational construct
- Demonstrated success developing factory strategies to achieve production objectives
- Experience leading, coaching and inspiring to achieve results
- Knowledge of the manufacturing floor systems and MRP/ERP planning systems such as SAP Demonstrated ability to comfortably interact with executive leadership and collaborate with directors of various disciplines and organizations
- Excellent Communication Skills (Written, Verbal and Presentation)
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering Tools and processes across the Product Life Cycle
- Experience in Financial Planning and Budgeting Skills (Overhead, Cost Controls)
- Knowledge of Program Management Tools such as Earned Value, Developing a Basis
- of Estimate, and Project Planning & Scheduling (Reverse Planning)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Cross functional acumen in Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, and Engineering
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated Experience in Financial Baselining, EV Techniques and EACs
- Proposal Experience, Cost and Management Volume Development and Support
- Cleanroom Experience
- Lean Manufacturing Experience
- Program Management Certification
- Required Education:
- BS in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or Mathematics or a BA in Business Administration or Operations Management
Desired Education:- MS in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
- Earned Value Management Certification
- R6s Expert or Blackbelt Certification
