Job Description

The Senior Analyst of the IBOR Oversight team is responsible for acting in a SME capacity across all IBOR BAU and Project activity for a key Citi client. This includes SME daily reporting reviews, KPI monitoring, issue resolution, new development implementation, controls and procedures reviews and implementation. The SME is expected to work alongside other departments across various Global sites on BAU and projects which affect the IBOR product.

The role holder will report to the Senior Manager of the IBOR Oversight team, which is part of Citi middle office. The IBOR Oversight team is a newly formed and growing team. They are currently involved with the on boarding of a key Citi client and establishing the IBOR Oversight model. The team overseas a number of production teams Globally including Warsaw, India and Luxembourg and daily interaction and communication is an important aspect of the role. The IBOR Oversight team acts in a technical SME capacity across all sites from process design, documentation to the sign off stage on issues, new developments, controls and procedures. The team also provide support for testing future developments on Multifonds.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake technical reviews of the daily client reporting and key reconciliations to ensure client records and systems are accurate.
  • Daily reviews of MI and KPI’s to ensure accuracy and timeliness are being maintained. Ensure negative trends are identified and actions and plans are implemented to resolve.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures and internal policies are adhered to. Input into risk and compliance reviews both internal and with the client.
  • Lead internal calls across production sites in India and Warsaw on a daily basis to monitor performance and delivery to clients, and ensure issues are identified and resolved.
  • Investigation and resolution of complex queries and client queries in a timely manner.
  • Play a lead role in future migration tranches and the middle office cut over planning.
  • Attendance at daily client calls for both issue resolution and daily KPI reviews
  • Actively look for efficiencies across all of the production sites.
  • Act as the IBOR Oversight Lead on projects and process improvements.
  • Develop strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external customers including client, offshore partners, client service and middle office teams. .
  • Working closely with other relevant operational peers to ensure that process risks are minimised.
  • Look for ways opportunities for efficiencies, allocate resources and drive new developments and enhancements forward for the team.
  • Deputise for Manager at internal and external meetings.
  • Promote implementation of company initiatives in line with the organisations vision and strategic direction.

Knowledge/ experience:

  • An in depth knowledge of the daily operations process.
  • Relevant systems knowledge including Multifonds, FSR Infocentre and Excel.
  • Experience of analysing data and reconciliations.
  • Quality Assurance/checking
  • Current accounting framework and regulatory environment.
  • The internal systems network relating to gathering information
  • Citigroup policy / guidelines on continuity of business
  • An understanding of our clients businesses and our impact on them

Qualifications:

The role holder will have relevant experience in fund accounting and valuations and will either:

Hold a recognised professional accounting or investments qualification

Or

Have sound business knowledge and experience and would be willing to embark on study towards a recognised professional accounting qualification or investment qualification.

Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
