Technical Training Instructor / Developer _Cleveland, OH

In this role, you have the opportunity to support patients and the health tech industry by developing and delivering technical service training for internal and external audiences for Philips Ultrasound equipment.

You are responsible for:

Training Development responsibilities:

  • Ensures courses are created using a standardized creation process implemented per Academy procedures.
  • Works as the project leader for Ultrasound modality e-learning and instructor-led projects.
  • Ensures e-learning packages are complete in a time frame and quality that maintains customer satisfaction.
  • Assesses student skills using both written and lab tests.
  • Represents Training to other departments (Service Engineering, Field Service, Documentation, and Engineering) in order to develop new courses and training packages, improve existing courses, ensure course content is up-to-date, and keep other departments informed of activities with Training.
  • Initiates changes to existing as well as new service documentation and tracks closure.
  • Develops and implements changes regarding the best and most cost effective way of doing training. This includes developing and implementing improved training processes and/or using alternative media such as video, slides, overheads, Computer Based Instruction, etc.
  • Reviews documentation from other departments for technical accuracy and incorporation into training documentation.
  • Creates and mentors instructors to develop training material for service electronic document collection.
  • Counsels and guides instructors on teaching techniques.

Training Delivery responsibilities:

  • Arranges systems, materials and classrooms to ensure that the courses can be delivered in the optimum conditions (classrooms, systems, and lab environment).
  • Coaches students in all learning environments. Support them to find the learning content on knowledge and skills in the most active and efficient way for the student to study.
  • Coaches other Trainer Coach Colleagues, including local certified trainers in satellite locations (worldwide).
  • Ensures that the departmental and safety regulations are followed in order to guarantee the safety of the students and others.
  • Evaluates courses and assesses students in order to get feedback with which to improve course quality to the targets as set by the team manager.
  • Delivers local courses on location in the field or other campuses worldwide.

You are a part of a dynamic global team that focuses on supporting the Ultrasound market. You will have the opportunity to work in our remodeled state of the art training facility in Cleveland, OH.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • 2+ Years Philips Ultrasound service experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Informatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, technical school or equivalent experience.
  • Refined technical writing skills.
  • Refined presentation skills.
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint presentation software and graphics creation programs such as Microsoft Visio.
  • Network/Server certifications are a plus
  • Availability to travel for up to 30% of the time within the US or Worldwide.
